Fasting instructions for a morning theatre list
  • No food after 3 am
  • No milk/formula milk or milky drinks after 3 am
  • No breast milk (if applicable) after 5 am
  • Encourage diluting juice or water ONLY up to 6 am
  • On day of admission no fizzy drinks or fresh fruit juice
  • Regular medications with small amount of water
