At the GGC Children's and Young People's Diabetes Service (CYPDS), we care for young people with diabetes from the Glasgow and Clyde regions, as well as those from further afield in the Oban area and the Western Isles.  Scotland as a whole has one of the highest rates for children developing diabetes and around 100 young people are diagnosed in the GGC area every year.  As a result, we are one of the largest children's diabetes services in the United Kingdom.

We maintain our own website and mobile App, and our written teaching materials are designed to help children, young people, families, and those supporting them in schools and hospitals in the management of this difficult condition.

Referral information for new presentations and suspected diagnoses can be found here.
